Rammed Earth (RE) is one of the most sustainable materials for construction and also one indigenous construction technique in various parts of Nepal, especially in the mountainous areas (Mustang, Dolpa, Jumla, etc.).

At the moment, in the urban areas, this material is gaining attention also for its aesthetics, although the building cost is likely higher than with RC and Steel. They are also being used in urban areas like Kathmandu and some other cities for residential, school, community buildings and other sectors like hotels and resorts’ purpose.

Pro Eth is actively involved in the structural analysis and design of rammed earth buildings in different use: residential, commercial and institutional.
